Who will be able to see my profile?

Only registered employers and recruiters will be able to view your full profile, which includes your resume, promo video, skills and a bit about yourself. However, these settings can be changed by simply selecting privacy settings from the drop down menu. You are also able to hide your age by selecting “hide age” on your profile.

Your interview answers are only viewable to the company who requested them.

Can I share my promo video to social media?

You can click the "share" button on the promo video to share to social media.

What happens if I don't want potential employers to see my promo video?

You can create a promo video without logging into your profile and share this video on social media or digital application form.

How does security work?

myInterview.com complies with industry standard security protocols to ensure users data and connections are protected. Protocols include:

  1. Encrypted Traffic through SSL (You will notice HTTPS:// in the address bar).
  2. User logins and passwords aren't stored in plain text and forewords secure our servers.

How long are interviews available for?

By default an interview is available for up to 3 months, however if you have finished interviewing, you can select 'Expire Job' from the role under active jobs.

How does it work?

  1. Employers sign up.
  2. Select one of our competitive packages.
  3. Create an interview and/ or post a job position on our site (this includes listing the skills, industry, applicable salary and interview questions). We'd recommend creating a couple of questions however you can set a maximum of 10. 
  4. Invite candidates to complete the interview by sharing a unique link through social media or e-mail.
  5. Candidates will click on the link and complete the interview in 3 steps. 
  6. You will be notified as soon as an applicant has completed an interview. 
  7. Applications can be assessed anytime, anywhere from any device. 

I'm part of a recruitment team, can we all have access to our company dashboard?

Sure! Once logged in, click the 'Collaborate' tab to invite team members to join the conversation. There are three levels of access with different permissions that are customisable

What are job alerts and notifications?

When you join myInterview you provide your information such as your resume, skills and location. Our super smart algorithm will automatically inform you if a interview/job that a company has created matches you. Companies regularly search through the profiles to find their next hire. If you'd like to turn off notifications or change privacy settings, click on the arrow under your username (top right corner once signed in)

How do I update my details?

Log into your profile, click the pencil next to the field you would like to edit, such as:

Occupation, Address, Email Address, Password, Employment Status and more!

Why use Facebook or LinkedIn accounts to login?

By using one of these accounts, it means you don't have to remember another username and password!

What is a promo video?

A promo video showcases yourself to potential employers before the interview, it's your opportunity to show what's behind the paper resume and present yourself!

These videos are viewable by potential employers, so remember you're in a professional environment and watch the video before uploading it!

Is myInterview accessible on mobile devices?

Yes! Visit myinterview.com on any mobile device and you will be directed to the mobile version with the same functionality of the website.

How long is each interview question?

The employer will set the length of the interview question, by default it is 2 minutes.

My webcam isn't working - I can't see myself during the webcam test.

During the setup process, certain browsers may prompt you with Adobe Flash Player Settings. This will only allow myInterview access to your webcam and microphone for the duration of the interview.

Under the webcam tab, select Allow and Remember.

If you are having trouble with your webcam, please select the webcam tab as per the screenshot below and ensure you have webcam selected. Laptops who have a built in camera may be known as 'default'.

Which is the best browser to use?

myInterview is compatible with all browsers however we work best with either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

Can I edit the questions I ask candidates in an interview once live?

You can edit questions by selecting edit next to the relevant interview/position under Active Jobs.

I can't hear myself during the audio test.

To ensure that myInterview can access your microphone when completing the audio test prior to a interview, follow these steps:

  1. If prompted with a choice of selecting your microphone, the device you use may have a inbuilt microphone such as a laptop. However if you're using a external microphone or headset please ensure you select the relevant microphone from the drop down.
  2. Once selected the microphone, you can begin talking to test the audio levels which will appear as green bars just next to 'Record Volume: as shown in picture below.
